I am a UX Researcher, aspiring UX designer/writer, and a full-time problem solver.

My research journey began in my undergraduate program. I worked in cognitive, social, industrial-organizational, and clinical psychology labs. And my favorite part? Working with people to solve problems!

I was drawn to work in user experience when I learned how much of my day-to-day life was impacted by a field I had never heard about! And not only my life but also the experiences of everyone around me. Working in the Disability Resource Center during my undergrad pushed me to pursue my Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction. Above all, I want everything I do to be grounded in empathy, accessibility, and the research to prove it — which is why UX research made perfect sense to me! I want to make a tangible change for people — even the littlest of tasks, the most mundane of hours — I believe can be improved with UX research. And I firmly stand with the human-centered design approach to my research and design process.

Research aside, I love learning about the whole product process. I have an interest in learning more about UX design, UX writing, product management, development and how closely they intertwine.

In my free time, I typically train for some type of race — trail run, marathon, or ultramarathon — I am passionate about pushing my limits and connecting with nature (and myself) along the way! I love to write (hence my excitement learning about UX writing), learn new skills (the newest one being archery), spend time with my dog (a hound/husky mix named Poppy), tend to my garden (if you need tomatoes, give me a call!), and volunteer with mutual aid organizations (including the one I helped to co-found).
